margie – what an excellent tip! i think that would be so much better and i’ll do that for my next set. your mushrooms are extra cute, i love their faces!

concha – the thread makes really good stuffing and there’s always lots of scraps of it lying around. it’s nice to re-use it somehow.

I love your fabric mushrooms. I use a combination of aquarium gravel and carded wool in the base of my mushrooms to give them stability. It seems to work for me. I know other people use rice or barley but I have problems with little larvae/beetles when using this method in the past. http://resurrectionfern.typepad.com/resurrection_fern/2008/01/wool-and-fabric.html
