@merchantandmills deliveries are always filled with so much inspiration! Can you tell that the big checks are my jam especially?! I just finished a Cawley dress in the Painterly Rouge. I’m scooping up some Felicity Pink today for a Scout Dress and I have made three garments from the Louisiana Linen. How much big check is too much?!

We’ve cleared off the cutting table and expect a full day of cutting gorgeous Merchant & Mills fabrics (while they last) during @_theworkroom 17 year anniversary event and Maker Market, here in Sprucedale. Bonus 17% off all day for in~person shopping - October 5th only! 🎉

Just three more sleeps until @_theworkroom 17 Year anniversary event!

It’s peak Fall colours up in Sprucedale right now, so it’s the perfect weekend for a beautiful drive up North. There are still a couple spots left on our chartered bus if you want to join @rosecolouredlens for a crafty community day trip and let someone else do the driving!

We are hosting a fun Pop Up Maker Market with a dozen vendors who make beautiful things, there will be two food trucks and a sale in our shop joining us in person! Don’t forget you can also book a tarot card reading with @neonandroid on the bus or at the shop.

I’m excited to hang out it with so many great people for the day!

Here’s what it looks like to receive sixty bolts

Here’s what it looks like to receive sixty bolts of Kona fabric, label, shelf them and then pull them back off the shelf in sets to cut dozens of our curated bundles - we stop and smell the flowers in between, but it takes all day! Add on one more week just to fold all the fat quarters and tie them up. Even still, we LOVE making these sweet bundles for you!

Just over here growing things in a small town.

This is not where I thought I would be and some days it all feels impossible. I’m still chasing a dream that I’m not ready to give up on, even if it keeps changing shape.

This week the dahlias really started to put on a show, we got a huge delivery of notions, tools and patterns at @_theworkroom and I released my very first digital pattern.

The Double Time Quilt pattern is a really special design that was born out of a fun collaboration with @katherine_skene during a Handmade Getaway in 2015.

It might not seem like a big deal, you can already find this pattern in the book I wrote with @jacqueline_soak - @handmadegetaway but doing something new and different is never easy. This has been a long time in the making. This pdf pattern is just an appetizer on the menu of what I’m been working on behind the scenes! Thank you so much to everyone who already grabbed a copy from our newsletter announcement yesterday!
