We wrapped up our third Handmade Getaway this week

We wrapped up our third Handmade Getaway this weekend! The weather gave us our first taste of Fall and had us staying cozy in the second floor studio with so many stunning quilt projects coming to life. We even got to community baste our first Queen sized quilt here in Sprucedale! 🍂 ✂️

@santoshafarm kept us feeling nourished with her signature veggie burgers, salads, slaws, and both a cold and hot soup. We ate so many incredible farm fresh veggies and herbs. On the flip side - this crew also brought their A-game for the snack table. 🍬 🍫 🍪

The rain broke enough on Sunday to get in our morning hike of the property with @missinglinkadventuretours - it’s been fun to see the farm change as the season passes since our first getaway! Everyone collected fun nature bouquets to use for our Cyanotype activity. 🍃 💙

Thank you Louise, Karen, Kathleen, Leta, Fiona, Victoria and Georgia for making it such a special and fun weekend! Can’t wait to see you all again.

The light tonight was magical.

I have no idea what I’m doing but I keep showing up and watering the flowers I planted. I’m amazed everyday at how beautiful these dahlias are. Cafe Au Lait used to be something I only saw in pictures.

We hosted our second Handmade Getaway up in Sprucedale this past weekend @_theworkroom and @santoshafarm / @missinglinkadventuretours

Not even a partially rainy weekend could stop us from campfire Rice Krispie treats, a foraging hike and an afternoon of cyanotype sun printing. Plus! all the beautiful sewing and handwork that was done in between nourishing farm fresh meals. Thank you Jazz, Suzanne, Rebecca, Susan, Louise and Joanne for everything!
