365 : 30
365 : campbell park trees
Lack of light in the winter means that night time photography is a must some days. I’m very strict with my 365 photos, I have until exactly midnight to get the day’s photo. This was taken at 11:30pm. These trees are lit by an outdoor ice rink where there is always some night time hockey being played in the winter. I love the sounds of their skates and sticks on the ice.
I steadied my shot by resting the camera on the edge of a garbage can.
I was inspired by this photo from Geoff’s 365.

That’s beautiful.
i am so jealous of this 365 project. i found out about it a few days into january and hadn’t taken any pictures yet. now i feel like i am not part of the fun.
becky – 365 does not need to start on january 1st… why don’t you start today, february 1st?! you really should.
Gorgeous shot. I love the sound of skates on ice too. It’s not something I grew up with so it still has a lot of novelty for me and I get excited every time!
