I can’t imagine my life without sewing. The ability to make, repair, design and express myself through textiles has been such a huge part of who I am for so long. From the very first skirt I made decades ago that showed me I could make my own clothing, I knew I would be sewing for the rest of my life. When I started the workroom, one of my goals was to create a safe space for learning and connection. The very first thing folks asked for in 2007 was a class to learn about their machines. Sewing Machine Essentials quickly become our most popular class and we’ve taught thousands of students the foundations in that three hour workshop.
